Loving Daughter to Howie & Debbie Beach Little sister to Eddie, Krissy, Megs, & Richie Auntie to Jillian Elizabeth Beach & Lillian Avis Beach Grand-daughter, Niece, Cousin, Auntie, God-daughter, Best Friend & Loved by many
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, our little friend and Goddaughter, Jillian Marie Beach who was born in Massachusetts on June 27, 1989 and passed away on June 11, 2005 at the age of 15 after a 4 1/2 yr. battle with Metatastic Malignant Melanoma. The deadliest form of skin cancer known to be an adult cancer now increasingly affecting our children. Jillian's cancer was not a result of genetics or sunburns. There is much research to be done as to why the "Little People" are getting this form of cancer.

Jill was only 11 yrs. old when diagnosed with stage 3 MM.
Jillian Loved life, she lived everyday to the fullest. Her greatest qualities consist of Love, compassion, thoughtfullness, a genuine caring young person. A child you learned from. The best hugs ever.
A gifted child with a love for people, music, poetry, math and science. Jillian was involved in her community, church, school and Girl scouts and had recieved the "Silver Award" in her girl scout troop in Milton Mass. Sadly it was the day after her passing this award was to be given and recieved.
Jillian was a sophmore at Milton High, she spoke French fluently and loved to play the Flute in her school band. Despite Jilly's battle with Melanoma she diligently maintained her high honor roll level. Education was extremely important to Jill, so important Jill remained tutored until 2 wks. before she had to depart. Jillian wanted to go to college where she would study Science, she wanted to help find a cure for Melanoma. She wanted to help the "Little Children" she didn't like the fact that ones younger than herself had lost their battles with their illness. Jill actually thought that it wasn't fair that younger children get sick, she was older but, not by much. Jillian was a "Warrior" to the end. The most Brave and Courageous young Child/Teen one could only be so lucky to have known. Jill never gave up and she never gave in . She endured over a dozen surgeries, hospitilizations and many many drugs but the tumors continued to grow. Though her bright smile never faded and her wisdom grew beyond her years.
Our "silly jilly" was treated at the Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund Clinic in Boston where Jilly had the Best treatment possible including many top Melanoma Specialist, an incredible staff of nurses and assistants and a Pediatrric Oncologist who went above and beyond his call of duty.
I am grateful to everyone who helped our "silly jilly," for all the love and support to her family over those long years. To every person who has lit a candle, said a prayer or just says her name "JILLIAN". We will remember "Silly Jilly" forever.

~October 11, 2006~ 16 months have come and gone since you departed yet, it seems like yesterday. Thoughts of you flood my mind with sweet memories. Loving you was so easy missing you, not having you here is the hardest of all. Time passes and I'm lost to where it goes, always wishing it was just a bad dream. Our world has a emptiness without you and we can only fill that void with loving thoughts of the "sweetest child" one could only be so lucky to have known. So I try to focus on your Love for life, your sweet ways and the amazing things you did on this earth in your short time with us. You touched so many lives, you taught us about strength, courage and laughter. I miss my "silly jilly", I miss your sweet kisses and your beautiful brows.

"where's my teeth"
Jillian A.k.a. "silly jilly" was ready to "rock & roll" this world by the age of 2. Born into a large family with 4 older siblings, Eddie, Krissy, Meghan & Richie, Jilly wanted for nothing and had full control of everyone. Eddie would dote over his baby sister, waiting on her hand and foot. He cuddled her with constant love. Eddie was such a good big brother thatone day Jilly wanted to play"Gulliver's Travel" Ed was to be the giant and Jilly the "little people". As the story is told The "little people tie up Gulliver. So Eddie being the big brother played Gulliver and yes Jilly was the "little people." Out came the Dental floss. The story is told that when Mom (Deb) & Dad (Howie) entered the room they were shocked at the sight before them. Yes, Eddie was tied up to a chair with dental floss that went around him nicely. When asked why did he let Jilly tie him up well, the only response was "she wanted me to be Gulliver." He never said no to anything his little sister wanted. Needless to say Mom & Dad had to get the scissors and cut their 10 yr. old son free from the chair. Warning Dental Floss is very strong so if you have a toddler with such an imagination hide the floss! To be continued....
